- Sega Sonic Team announced that they will be stopping the Phantasy Star Online server as soon as they discover players who are cheating the game by changing the character data with "Game Enhancers". The service will resume as soon as the problem is resolved.

lol, it never happened, PK is already out i thought? just alot of dupers and stuff still goin on, lets hope ver.2 is server side saving

I'd be ready to wait a few hours offline. The dupers are still doing business in spades, and it's frustrating when you fight next to a Lv10 who uses a frying pan because the player duped stuff and gave it to his new character (personally, the only thing I will give to my new one is a Vahara mag found in the mines, which has not been raised yet. To get Vahara as a ranger, you must pump up the mind a little, and my RAcaseal has no use for techs).

PK is gone, at least it should be. Most GSing is gone too, and illegal items have been totally banned, seemingly, even Lv999 mags. Would be nice to do something about thieves... but it's next to impossible; Sega won't even consider hiring moderators to monitor each game being created (Imagine, you stand there in a security room with a dozen TV screens in front of you that allow you to view 12 games at a time and see if there's any thieving going on)...
