In other words, very soon. This is a search engine that will allow people to obtain computed results to their questions. Like say you want to know how many people on online in your area. Wolfram|Alpha takes that question and compares it to information stored in public databases and splits out a result (along side graphs and other data that breaks the raw data into smaller meta data bits.) It can also tell you how many people are online at the very moment you input your query and continue to do so in real time.
It was developed by the guys that made Mathematica, meaning this search engine would very well do your Calculus homework for you. You can read more about it here. (http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/05/blog_epicenter_0511_wolframlevy)
I'll also leave a link to the engine itself (http://www.wolframalpha.com/index.html), just remember that you can't use it until May 18.
