I recently went out and bought a memory card and I need to transfer the character I had on his memory card to my own. How can I do this without losing anything?

Nope. I don't think that's possible.

You could put the card with the character in slot b, put the new card in slot a, do multiplayer offline and sellect "no data" to transfer it. Only problem is that the character can't go online. PUPUPU

bleh those temp characters cant play 1 player offline...

its only way to stop duping, but i would have thought it was possable to delete the character in slot a and move the data to the card in slot b

There is only one memory card which can be used to move character save files back and forth and share with friends. I can assure you personally it works quite well. EMS Memory Card (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=78&products_id=2359&PHPSESSID=b21a7d2f5acdbae45b178e047a3c3e06)

i'd get one just to be able to restore my characters in the event of corruption. :o i'm not sure how duping would work with that, different than the way it's done now. i mean... how? :(

You could keep your character by doing that, but you will lose all of your items. When you would try taking it online, it would detect a different timestamp on your character, and delete your items back to the basic.

Eh you'd keep your items by abusing offline multiplayer X3.
Does the card even work for restoring a backup of a character? I read about someone not being able to get a clean restore =._.=;;
