Basically, I'm interested in its worth currently, and if its going to diminish any time soon with any of the coming updates. Anyone have insight on this?

Doubt it. RK from what i've seen only drops in that one stinkin' mission and no event i've seen has it so i'm pretty sure it's value will pretty much stay affloat...that is until Vijerina / Cronos comes out...theeeen you might have problems o_o
