Adding multiple colors to text?

I see people with alternating colors or rainbow colors in their text. I get how to add 1 color all you to do is {red} and then right something and it's red. But I don't get how people add multiple colors and still have 3 full lines of text. Can someone please tell me how to do this?

ok. so you know how you have to add {red} for one line. people take the time to go letter by letter to change the text color. or you can try {rainbow} or {multiple} i figure those might work.. hope this helps

When you make a shortcut, you can input text and the {red} tag will disappear after you enter it, making it not take up room. If you were to just type it into the text box, you wouldn't have enough room.
