I'd give you the nickname of my computer, but the name is way too long, plus I'm pretty sure I'd get an infraction.

Name -- Status

QUADBOX -- Current quadcore workstation / gaming computer [Triple-booting Ubuntu 64-bit, Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and Windows 7 RC 64-bit]
SecondaryPC -- Hodgepodge of 'old' parts to make an E6600-based work station / backup machine as well as a more easily recovered test bed [Windows 7 RC 64-bit]
WindPC -- MSI Wind netbook for various activities [Dual-booting Windows 7 RC 32-bit and Windows Vista Business 32-bit]
BasementPC -- Audio/video recording machine relegated to the basement running an old skt939 A64 dual-core [Windows XP]
MacbookPro -- One of the first C2D-based MBPs that runs slightly hotter than a Roman candle [OSX 10.5]
MESA -- Old P4 machine that was my prior workstation/gaming computer that at the moment needs to be reassembled [Ran Windows XP/Windows Vista 32-bit/and various Linux distros]
CRAPBOX -- Decommissioned K6-2 machine which is over 10 years old [Ran Windows 98 then XP]

There are numerous other computers and devices both hooked up in the past and currently hooked up to the network as well as numerous iterations of some of these machines. For instance, QUADBOX when it still had an E6600 was BLACKBOX and before that it was DEEPSILVER. I really want to do some major upgrading again as well because I'm frankly beyond irritated with trying to run CrossFireX on my primary machine. It apparently just does not like playing with 8GB of RAM and CrossFireX which leaves my second graphics card literally just sitting on my desk collecting dust, not something I wanted to see happen with that card.

I like the moniker "Fight Club" for your router, Shuri. Seems fitting.

I'm not awesome enough to have multiple computers, but I like naming things so I name all my drives. Dudes give cars girl names; I give my hardware guy names.
Oliver - my PC (RIP Rolf)
Casper - internal HD
Edwin -internal HD
Fintan - internal HD
Gilgamesh - jump drive
Hadrian - external HD
Ignatius - jump drive
James - jump drive
Lionel - external HD

I couldn't think of anything I liked for K (maybe I'll go back and do Khalid with my next acquisition) more than L, which has too many excellent choices. I already have N picked out (Nicodemus); not sure about M; can't wait to get to V (Virgil, possibly my favorite name ever).

AFFABLE-RATTLESNAKE: My PC. Dell Dimension 3000, with 2GB of RAM instead of the 256MB it came with. Got the name from a friend addicted to Metal Gear. He ran my name through a name generator, and that's what it spat out.

VIROPALOOZA: My brother's PC. I do all the upkeep on it while he's out and about. I bring my own keyboard, if it gives you any idea about how nasty his computer is. It's another Dell, but I can't remember the model.

Xbox 360: Can't change the name of it.

PLAY-NICE: D-Link DI-624, revision C I think. Worked well, before I got my 360. After I got it, however, I realised it doesn't get along with Xbox Live all that well. Replaced it.

WHITE-GLINT: DIR-655, the router that replaced the DI-624. Also a D-Link. Works great, is also wireless, and looks like a Next from Armored Core 4, thus its name.

PAPERWEIGHT: Modem. Currently, this is a Webstar of unknown model. I had this model originally, then it died. Got a new modem (can't remember the make or model), but that one died too (didn't even last a year). Now I have this new Webstar (same model, just a new unit), and it seems to work fine. For now.

OBSIDIAN: My Zune. 120GB model. Tried to get the limited edition Gears of War 2 model, but no luck.

Behemoth - My main PC. Antec 1200, EVGA X58, Intel i7 965 Extreme Edition, GTX 285 x 2 in SLI. I call it a Behemoth because its just fucking HUGE.

Power Of One - My secondary PC. Lian Li case. EVGA 780i, Intel Q9450 Core 2 Quad. GTX 285. Motherboard is ded, gotta RMA it.

Crapbook - My laptop I got from work. HP NC6120 - piece of crap for its age. Crap graphics, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB HD at 5400 RPM, Centrino @ 2.00 Ghz or something.

I used to name my hard drives "Flat Tire (something descriptive here)". Because if you look at a cross section of a hard drive, the platter looks kinda like a tire. But I kinda overdid it. My old, old computer, my Mac Color Classic (dunno if I still have it), was named Flat Tire. After I upgraded to a Performa 637CD, I called that hard drive the Flat Tire 2. Then to my Mac G4, I named it Flat Tire Revisited... then Flat Tire DX, then... yeah.

Needless to say, when I got a PC, I ditched that convention. :P
