As of this posting, I can't find any official confirmation of MJ's death.

http://omg.yahoo.com/news/pop-star-michael-jackson-dead-report/24333?nc

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_michael_jackson

If he was found not breathing, how long was it for? I'm going to guess he's most likely dead. If he's still alive, he's probably going to suffer major brain damage from the lack of oxygen. So much for another Thriller.

Edit: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31552029/ns/entertainment-music/ Confirmation?

Well TMZ says he's dead. Some user comments on articles say hes dead.

But Idk. If hes not dead, well I guess I was wrong.

Poor Farrah though.... :(

Heard from the radio that he was dead (they mentioned TMZ, and didn't count that as "official", so I assume they found it from somewhere more official). Said he was completely comatose, and pronounced dead. I haven't looked this up myself for a source yet, as I just arrived home, but I will now.

The LA Times is saying Micheal is dead. This is crazy

And only being 50? That's sad, although Micheal was crazy, I still respect his music form the 70's/80's. it will never be forgotten. Even to this day, millions still have respect for him. The highest selling album of all time too. I remember his music since my childhood.

R.I.P MJ. One of the best entertainers to grace the music industry :(

Despite some of the allegations about him I find it said he had to die this way. RIP Micheal, and RIP Farrah. She can finally rest in peace after dealing with cancer for three years. They both will be missed.

I figured i'd see this when I finally got of my phone to check here. Its a shame, I heard he was trying to make a comeback too. Gotta give him his props though, he's made some great music in his time.

I feel like a huge chunk of my childhood died today.

I was 4 years old when Thriller came out and like so many people I thought it was the best thing ever. I spent a large portion of my childhood watching Michael Jackson videos, listening to his music and trying to immitate his dance moves. For many years I thought he was a god and that he could do no wrong.

He will be missed and I will remember him fondly.

I was shocked to learn that Farrah Fawcett had passed away today and I was already mourning her death but nothing could really prepare me for Michael Jackson's death as well.

R.I.P.

Incidently, they say that celebrities always die in 3's. Hopefully we won't see anymore tragic deaths in the next few weeks.

At least now he shall have peace...I hope he can have some now
(His life was like a hell those last years =/)

I may not be a fanatic fan now...but during my childhood (born in 1984) I used to be fan of Michael n Elvis.
N even after all those crap things happening in his life, I was hopping he could get over it...I respect him as the artist he still was n still stopped to listen his musics anytime TVs bring them up...
I'll miss him as one of the greatest (n few) famous ppl I really like (like Ayrton Senna). His talent is unforgotten.

I could say his death gave us a sudden impact like Elvis =/

R.I.P. one of the best generations of music this planet was ever graced with.

Agreed.

----------

Curiosity about SEGA n MJ
Well he had Moonwalker game everyone knows =p
But he was supposed to compose the musics for Sonic 3 (or Sonic & Knuckles dun remember which), but he had that problem with pedofily n SEGA broke the agreement.

----------

I'm a fan from Brazil o/
MJ is sucess is worldwiiide!

It's weird how relevant Michael Jackson is to the gaming world. Between music from Sonic games, Moonwalker (lol?) and Space Channel 5, he's especially-relevant to fans of what Sega once was.

I liked Jackson. I still think it sucks that they got rid of the Captain Eo attraction at Epcot in Disney World after... I think it was the first allegation of him being inappropriate? Man, that was a good movie. MJ battling evil space alien lady with his dance moves.... so very 80's.

This actually made me want to make a second account for a month or so and make MJ-related characters, like "little MJ" when he was with the Jackson 5 (is that what they were called?), "Thriller MJ" who'd naturally look like the one from Thriller (probably a beast so he could transform a la the video), Captain Eo, who'd probably be a human and look as close to him as possible, and of course, the cast MJ as "Moonwalker MJ" complete with his giant robo transformation. $10 isn't bad for a tribute to the king of pop, and it'd give me a chance to level some of my random PAs while I'm at it.

Edit: This might sound cruel, but as mustang said, his coolness and popularity was measured by how black he was - he was good with the Jacksons, became a king when he was in his... what, like mid-20's to early 30's? Then by the end, he just got..... weird...

Well, he was a total weirdo, and very controversial, but he was still a legend and he will be missed by many. RIP Micheal Jackson

Also, RIP Farrah Fawcett, looks like her death will be overshadowed by Michael Jackson's.

How did MJ die? Farrah Fawcett was talking to her family before she died, and they asked what she would do when she got to heave to protect the children of the world. 10 minutes after she died MJ was rushed to the hospital.

So when Jackson died, they melted him down into legos so the kids could play with him for a change.
