I chose not to read that thing, could someone recap it for me? I would normally read it, but that's just too long. O.o

*Slips out of the shadows* >_>;

Normally I wouldn't post, but this really clearly defines what I've felt for a long time. He managed to say it far better than I could though, due to his ability to make complete thoughts instead of rambling on about god knows what. o_O

I'm a senior in high school and this whole system has gotten me down to the point that I hardly do any homework anymore and am failing two of my classes this semester and have a D in one other. What's worse, two of those classes I HAVE to pass in order to graduate this year... This coming from a so-called "bright" individual... It wasn't always this way. But I'm making this post into one of those infomercial testimonials. =p

I consider myself loosely in "geekdom" (well I guess I should since I'm in my school's "Gifted Program" which is really a f***ing joke). My friends have always been in one group or the other. But I'm just so disgusted and depressed these days that I constantly wish I were a "freak" instead.

Wait, where was I? o_O;; My point? Yeah, um, I agree with him. This system sucks one way or the other. ...and that's all I have to say about that.

Sorry, I can't. I already signed up for the Force, which by the way, is officially a REAL RELIGION (in England, at least) ^_^;

It's funny how it really is so true. You'll see more of the "popular" people in my school putting down other people to make themselves look better. I'll be glad when I can purchase a hamburger from them or catch them working at my local wal-mart.

Why don't smart kids make themselves popular?

Because they are smart, that is the answer. Don't you get it? Can't you see that it is smart NOT to be popular? I, for exemple, never suffered from my lack of popularity in elementary school, and I even provoked it in high-school.

If they're so smart, why don't they figure out how popularity works and beat the system, just as they do for standardized tests?

Meh, I did that, I ended up being popular. Once I was arriving, the party was starting, I was the dare-devil, the clown of the gang,, the one with the most guts, the one leading them to make them do stupid stuff, (but nothing dangerous) all that for fun, for myself, then I got tired of that popular life and got rid of it, how? By doing the oposite of what I used to, doing "un-cool" stuff such as not smoking anymore, not hanging around, change my clothing so it would definitly not match theres, I changed school, actually I was just being myself again, being smart.
