Soul of a Blacksmith on Ultimate

I got the two required materials and a blue mineral, but I only got a Storm Cannon when I read that I should have gotten a Suppressed Gun. I already got the God Hand earlier, did that ruin my chances of getting another good weapon or did I do something wrong?

You did nothing wrong, but you can't get another rare weapon on that character once you already get one, so the only way to fix this is do the quest on another character.
