Items transferable between characters?

Hi there! I am considering picking this game up and I have a quick question:

I am the type of gamer who will make a bunch of alts to satisfy my need to play the game in different spectrums, so I was wondering, is there anyway to transfer items between different characters I have created, without having any friends with this game?

No. And even if you had friends, the only items you can trade/drop to other people are consumables and clothing.

This is probably the one major thing sega did to really screw the game. You'll get many items and some of them you won't be able to equip due to your character's race.

Unless you are an avid item collector, then those will probably just sit in storage.
