Exactly! What part's your favorite? I like the Black Knight, Castle Anthrax (heehee), and the Bridge of Doom. Oh, and the French Castle.

"Have at you!"
"What's your name?" "Sir Robin." "What's your quest?" "To find the Holy Grail." "What's the capital of Assyria?" "I don't know thaAAAAAAAAAT....!"
"Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberry! Now go away before I taunt you a second time!" http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Edit: Woops. I forgot the witch hunt. Hehehe.

LAUNCELOT:
We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
GALAHAD:
I don't think I was.
LAUNCELOT:
Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
GALAHAD:
Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
LAUNCELOT:
No, it's too perilous.
GALAHAD:
Look, it's my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
LAUNCELOT:
No, we've got to find the Holy Grail. Come on!
GALAHAD:
Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
LAUNCELOT:
No. It's unhealthy.
GALAHAD:
I bet you're gay.
LAUNCELOT:
No, I'm not.

Monty Python rocks. Ive wathced all the movies (Lfe of Brian is probably the best one, but like the killer white rabbit from Holy Grail) and seen a good proportion of the series.

You havent lived untill youve seen the parrot sketch, the lumberjack song, the ministry of silly walks and, one of my favourites, the bicycle repairman sketches. Or even the episode where the blamonges were turning everyone into scotsmen!

'Hes not the messiah, hes a very naughty boy!'

That's really weird, I just got the special edition DVD of the Holy Grail yesterday. I watched it in Japanese... very amusing.

Life of Brain is my favorite MP movie. Pilot kills me everytime.

Pilot, "A Woman?"
Brian, "No, no Roman."
Pilot, "Swike him centuwian vewy wuffly."
Cenurian, "And frow him to the fwoor?"
Pilot, "Oh yes centuwian, frow him to the fwoor."

As for the series I loved the Upperclass Twit of the Year. "And Oliver has run himself over!" As well the Note Being seen skit, Lumberjack song, Spam, the dead parrot and many others. Great stuff.

Larian
Feb 27, 2003, 10:11 AM
I think Holy Grail is by far my favorite...Followed by Life of Bryan. The meaning of life was OK to say the least. It just didn't really make me laugh that much.

"A Scratch...Your arm's off!"
"Its only a flesh wound!"

"i dont know"
"maybe it came from the zoo"
"if it came from the zoo it would have property of the zoo stamped on it"
"how do they stamp the lions?"
"they..stamp..them..when..they're..small"
"if it lay'd an egg,... it would roll off the back of the telivision"
"could be a male"
::penguin blows up::
and now for something compleetly different........

flying circus was the best, hahaha,.. too many good skits to list,. the holy grail was also awesome. I need to go find my mpfc tapes... ::slaps everyone with a trout and does a silly walk away from the forum::

Brian: [naked] *wakes up, walks to the window, and, yawning, opens it*
Crowd outside window: THE MESSIAH! THE MESSIAH!
Brian: *slams the windows shut*

"Now, we wait until nightfall, then you, Sir Robin and I jump out and take them completely by surprise!"
"What?"
*Clang* *BOING!*
"Run away!"
*CRASH*

Though, the best short ever was the one about the pirate insurance firm. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Sorry if it's not entirely "on"-topic but does anyone else watch British comedies?(I think thats what it can be called??) My wife and I love Faulty Towers and she also enjoys Red Dwarf.

Another Life of Brian section that was great was the stoning scene. Men acting as women acting as men. Well most of them anyway.
"Are there any women present?"

I'd have to say that the faulty towers is a good one but Holy grail was better. Oh no I've been sacked. And now my sackers have been sacked. and now the sackers of my sackers would like to be known.

Fawlty Towers was made and starred in by John Cleese, on of the original Mosty Python crew.

"So that's two eggs mayonaise, a Prawn Goebell, a Herman Goring, and four Colditz salads. NOT mentioning the war. Right!"

Monty Python is one of the funniest groups ever. I love their movies and show. Quest for The Holy Grail and Life of Brian are the two funniest movies I have ever seen.

"What was that? That was you're life mate. Well that was short do I get another. Nope sorry that's your lot." Fawlty Towers line I just had to post sorry. Communication Problems and The Germans are the two best episodes!

"And now for something completey different."
