I use Pidgin for my instant messaging program. The problem I have is that messages that have been sent or received do not show anything like bold, italics, or underline properly. This applies to messages both received and sent. While getting a message ready to send, it shows up properly. I have been told messages show up properly to the other person (unless of course its me-me).
Smileys work, and the "Show formatting on incoming messages" box is checked.
I am currently using 2.6.2, which I tried to do as clean of an install as possible- getting rid of everything Pidgin or gtk related I could find (this problem has been occurring for several updates now). I know I didn't get everything as my contact aliases were still there, as were history.
