I know why guys hit on girl players...(Boy am I dead)

I've seen a couple of comments made by the female gamers who frequent this site and I think it's time that somebody with a penis speaks out. Why do male gamers hit on female gamers?

It's really quite simple.

My Ex-GF would get on my case because I:

1) Didn't do enough of her stuff with her(i.e. clothing shopping with my hard earned dough, school gossip, hang with her friends, etc. etc.)

2) Played video games
3) Played video games too much
4) Played more video games
5) Spent to much time with my video games then spending time with her.

LOL boy did she flip when she saw my "A Girl can never replace a Playstation" shirt =)

So, we come to the common social perception that men do what they want and leave the women to themselves, with their IMHO lame and pointless activites. Ballet anyone?

So finally girls begin to play video-games. Wow, for the first time since Adam and Eve realised they were both human men and women can share a common interest! So what do male gamers, who hear the "You never do what I want to do" argument do? They jump at the chance!!! Why? Because they can relate to it, it's fun, and god-damn it's not going to the mall! Don't blame the "horny" guys around here[you know who you are http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif] because it's society that creates the problem.

Note about the author: Spy does not hit on any girls that play video games unless he needs to get some frags to win the game.

Now is where I step back and get ripped apart like a level 5 force against a Sinow-beat.

Actually you hit the nail on the head. But after playing a fem char in EQ (that was a trip), you get to understand both sides.

Females whine because a good 80% of the males who play video games have NOT grown up and treat them like meat. So that leaves 20% of the population being nice respectful people, who will never get a chance because |_@|/|3 |)00|)-03 kept harrassing them.

Guys whine because 'some' females who play video games make themselves out to be something they are not. OR the ultamate sin, a guy who plays a female avatar AND states they are fem irl (big big drama over this with my guild in diablo bak in the day hehe).

um .. ok .. let me see if i can share a difernt point of veiw with you . a few months back i started dateing this great girl , and at this same time she had just started getting into playing EQ . she was a freind of mine in RL before we started dating . well to make a long story short . we are not together any longer . she felt that the game was the only thing that was important to her due to the fact that there was nothing else for her to forget about her problems . ( poor little rich girl ) . the point is this .. it may be fine and dandy to hook up with someone who plays games to but just like most guys get way to involved with their stupid games those stupid retarded drunken , insensitive , insecure , did i mention stupid women yet ? .. they get as drawn to it as we do but its worse with online games . their are people to share gossip with their too
