Pop-up advertisements, web browser windows that appear on their own to try and get your attention. They are easily some of the most annoying things on the internet.

Fortunately for me, I have a Pop-Up Stopper that disables almost all pop-up windows.

Internet security set to high = very few popups.

What gets me is when it pops up the downloading thing for "Giving you the precise time/day on your clock! brought to you by gator" Do I look like an idiot?

i hate them so much. they lag the shit outta my computer! >< and those multiple porn pop ups! pisses me off when i'm browsing a site totally non-related and won't close!

I'm running Opera, which kills most pop-ups. However, if I get a popup when I don't have the browser open, it opens 2 windows (the popup and a blank page)

No pop-ups at all (http://www.pierfiro.com/junk/mozilla.jpg).

However, with version 1.3b you can allow selected sites to open pop-up windows. For example you can disable pop-ups from any site but PSOW.

Hate them, they were the major source of death-lose of contact with team-annoyence when I was playing Anarchy Online. The game kept reducing the window back to my desktop and then the pop up came, sometime a few, sometime the only way to close it was to end the process while doing Ctrl+Alt+Del

How did I gt those popups? I downloaded a demo of mechworrior 4 on a microsoft site. Then the popup furry began.
