So... I got booted for picking up a [B]Ryusaikanoh (Spelling?)...

But not before I was asked if I was gay and told I have zero playing skill....

I don't understand why some people are so against picking items up! The board is worth 9k to NPC!! Who doesn't have room in their inventory to pick up whatever?! 60 spaces is a lot of room!

F@ck sakes people! I'd hate for you to have to hit the A button a couple more times while you're restocking your g@d d@mn trimates!!!

End Rant.

I don't pick them up. 9K board isn't worth the time to trade it in.

Moon Atomizer X should have stayed 7 stars.

Funny enough, I love that weapon. :) Shame it's been put on someone's kick list. :(

Its because games like PSU bring out the worse in people during events and GBRs.

GBR has a drop rate increase but you see those boards drop like crazy...so a lot of players get their fill and then avoid them like the plague.

Although PSU is a Japanese Game, it really functions like a Korean Game. From the start of the game you level practically everything..Here is a list:

1) Type Levels: Everyone goes from 1 - 20 on their types but have to level multiple types for master types.
2) Weapon Grade Level: Everyone is out to get the latest and most powerful weapon out there. If a 12 star weapon exists and a 13 star weapon of the same category is released....every player in the game will be after that weapon.....they consider it a level up from their previous weapon.
3)PA Levels: Photon Arts...worse case guns where everyone levels the same PA six times, one per element..
4)EXP Levels: Character levels going to 170
5)GBR Percentages: You will find parties which say "50% only" where you will be kicked upon entry for not meeting conditions.
6) Weapon Grinding: Where some players will look down on you if you don't grind or your grinds are too low...
7) Rooms: Though it happens rarely...I've seen players judge upon others as newbs because they have a standard room bought in a shop rather than a Casino or Event-Earned Room.
8) PM Manufacturing levels: You will get many who will consider you a newb if your PM is not 100 in one category.
9) PM battle level: I've seen people call others newbs because they are level 160 - 170 with a battle level of 1 - 10...the Battle level has some bearing on things...just pointing out another level.

Even Events have Spheres where you collect and use them to enter a mission...and that counts as grinding to play the mission you should be playing from the start and being forced to waste time on the grind to enter that mission.

In GBRs and events...the worse tend to come out in people where a lot of parties are made and people literally compete for drops. It gets ugly specially when the final week arrives.

While you shouldn't be judged....realize that in grind-based play you will always be judged because it all comes down to "I have something better than you..." mentality. The people in PSU who are the nicest are the people who I've come to know who have had it harder, are new players who haven't been corrupt by the elitist attitude or are people who have come to terms with themselves.

The best thing to do is find a group of friends and meet people and play with them....and avoid the elitist plague...If they harass you further you have blacklist...and if you really feel like fighting fire with fire, you can try my method...which is to play along and boast on how great they are for being able to beat "computer controlled enemies" in an online game that 99 out of 100 people in the world has not heard about or even cares about ^_^.

Yeah its funny because I run in random parties a lot and over time I've just decided not to pick anything up unless I know it is desirable or has been picked up previously. I don't mind stockpiling Junaline but some parties aren't into that.

With 'junk' boards, that can't be stacked and take up space, people are particularly irritable about getting them in their inventory.

personally idc what is picked up..if someone needs them I drop them after the mission. I don't need/want them to sell to NPC but I have no problem dropping them for someone else. They should have set item pick up differently or stated in the comments not to pick up junk imo not just boot someone for it. I hear some people run with ALL thier armor, units, and a bunch of different weps but at the Hive GBR that shouldn't be the case.

I got yelled at for picking up Ydral... I pick up all those Shura-Hiken boards too... it takes all of 15 seconds to sell it to the NPC. I guess if you have endless mesta it would be pointless, but for others it's being smart.

And there are other BS that you get booted for:

- Not talking with a mic.

- Not playing the same way they do. In other words if you play the game or use your characters in your own way, they'll attack you!!

- Rejecting party chat or whatever it's called on XBL

- Booting everyone as soon as they get to the boss.

- If one freaking PA isn't maxed out.

It's gotten to the point where the only things you can pick up that they can't boot you for is meseta or a sol atomizer...which is what I do. I don't feel like dealing with immature eletist crap who are too lazy to put intructions into their comments.

Also I've always said that the word newb/noob/nub or whoever you spell it is so abused that most of the people saying it don't even know what it means and are just saying it to look cool. That's why I call the person "green".

I'm sick of these damn on-the-fly criterias, how bout you? It's a videogame, not a part of life.

The problem with parties saying "no junk" is what classifies as junk.... I have had people complain about hapotite being picked up yet i can never keep a stock of it. There are also some people that make their profit from high % 9* wepons cause of the restrictions on class so they need element photons and all the 9* synth items they can get. Yet people have a problem with this stuff being picked up simply because its available in the NPC shops. does it not make more sense to get it for free to turn a bigger profit? I always thought that it was common business practice to build as cheap as possable and sell as high as possble.

So i say if you are on the 360 side and are looking for a party to run with that dont care what you grab look me up.... GT: Sikotic demon

^THIS^

If you're worried about time then you shouldn't be playing videogames in the first place... Stop being such a prima donna and simply sell it when you're stocking up on scapes/trimates!

Or drop it and I will sell it.

You are correct Sir. And here is why;

If you boot the only other player on the PC version, you will be again running solo... LOL.

Please pick-up that Hapotite... Battlestopper boards are under 100K, Par Walna is under 10K, I hate seeing decent boards in shops for cheap and no one making them.

...And the delicious irony of them all, is if they were as godly as their elitist attitude makes them out to be, they shouldn't need a party for ANY mission EVER.

I think you meant Scape Doll boards.

Anyway, 60 spaces may be a lot for some, but back when I played I rarely had more than 10-15 spaces open because I carried a lot of guns and armor. I never booted anyone, but it was definitely annoying when people picked up garbage.

Ahh, elitists are fun, aren't they? I just simply laugh at them when their horrendous superiority complexes kick in.

I don't have issues with people and what to/not to pick up (because, frankly, I almost never pick anything up. I have everything I need in terms of materials and boards, etc.). But, I don't spaz out on people who do decide that they need that Ydral, Walna, or whatever. It's their choice. If I happen to get one, I simply drop it and continue on my way.

Also, agreeing with Squirrel3D on this one, the word "noob" is grossly overused, and most of the time (when it is used), it has no place in the current situation and/or discussion. How am I a "noob" for having a 5/5 Agito Repca? It's my weapon, suited for my needs, not yours. I don't care if you have a 10/10 one, because I'd rather not waste my time trying to grind one up that high just for a whopping 50-100 damage difference.

*ahem*, anyway. Yeah, people that make their own rules and try to force them upon other players (elitists) make me sick.

I agree with most of what you say, but in an elitist's defense, something is wrong with those numbers if a 5/5 repca is doing only 50-100 damage difference from a 10/10 repca. :P

Don't know, I hit just about the same with my 5/5 as my old friend (who no longer plays) who had a 10/10 (both of them being 24% Light). Maybe it was a freak accident. None of that is the point, anyway. My point was that I don't need to grind weapons that high to justify myself. I'm perfectly fine with what I already have, and if someone doesn't see it that way, then they can go :barf:

A bit off-topic, but a friend and I got booted one time for joining and finishing a mission while the leader was afk. I can understand that he needed the experience, but if he didn't want anyone else coming in, he should have put a password.

Do you play on PC/PS2 or 360? If you're on 360, the person that booted you might've been me ^^;. I've booted people for stupid reasons like that before, just as a random act of ass-ness (I'm not usually like that, but a few times I've simply given in to primal instinct).

If it was set order I see the slight point in the bootation of you.

If set random, then fight for you right to make people look like assholes :)

Set random.

Not sure if I mentioned that the board came to me anyways... LoL.

I wish the Ryusaikanoh was a lil more powerfull and much more rare because I believe it is one of the coolest looking lasers in the game.

I agree with you there. I actually feel it's easier to line enemies up with too, as in it's easier to tell what it's going to hit.

They're not real players of videogames. Just psychonuts that think they're god almighty who I wouldn't be suprised if they applied that same criteria to other aspects of their lives.

Moral of the story: don't play with fucking retards.

As much as I hate using that word, I think it fits the people you described well, and that's because of the homophobic comment, not the the booting over picking up an item, which is also pretty dumb but not as offensive. Seriously, what loser bigots.
