Alright, I think I might have cracked this CFW thing with PS:P2.
Except one thing.
I need the EBOOT.BIN file.
Is there anyway to get that out of a .PBP?
If I can get the BIN, I can decrypt it to (maybe) work on CFW 5.50GEN D-2.

If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.
(Usually to get the .BIN you extract the UMD...but since it didn't come as a UMD, I'm not sure how to get it)

The UMD demo will be released on Monday, so unless someone knows how to get it otherwise, you may have to wait.

That's not too far of a wait.
Though, do you, or anyone else know if it will be available at Gamestop or something?
I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks for it if I have to.

You know...that actually makes sense. lol.
I didn't think about that.
Sorry about that lol.

Hmm...I'm sure I can find a .BIN file.
I'll give it a few days. If not, I'll work on what the differences are between .BIN and .PBP.

To be honest, I tried using Game Decrypter on the PBP file. LMAO that most definately did not work. Then I tried changing the file type to a BIN file manually, but it ended up corrupted. XD

Yea, you cant change the PBP to the BIN.
You cant even use a converter to do it.
The BIN has to come strait from the UMD rip, which is how I usually do it.
(A friend buys the UMD's for some reason, and I steal them from him lol) :D

Sorans and I already tried to hack the boot.bin with the UMD Decrypter. Didn't work. And anyway, we wouldn't be able to play online with a CFW :/

Oh, if you get it to work, don't forget to "share" :D

I tried to manually hex edit the demos eboot value from 6.00 to 5.00 and it works to this point before it goes to 80010082 error -

Seems to work fine on 5.03 Gen-B because of the firmware "9.90" spoof, maybe it needs a new version.txt as MGS Peacewalker did..
