What's that password vending machine thing in the sewer.

you enter special codes in it and get items. They're usually joke weapons with low stats.

where do you get these codes just randomly in the games?

They are in the strategy guide. I can post them, I think.

I have a question I've been meaning to ask about the password machine: say I type in the password for a weapon, can I type in the same code on a different character? Or is it by game card (i.e. only once per game cartridge)?

Go try it for yourself lol.

I believe it's once per cartridge.

yep, any code you enter only works once per cartridge. Also, some of the weapons you get from the machine are quite good. You can go to the shop there in the sewer and trade photons for most of the joke weapons in the game.

What I want to know, though, is whether the really good weapons you can get from the password machine are actually in the US version. The password list posted is a good start, but it's incomplete compared to the japanese version of the game. There are nine weapons missing:

Testarosa (saber)
Valiant (Claw)
Hylian Shield (from Zelda)
V Jump Shield
V Jump Slicer
Samus Power Beam (handgun)
Boom Bazooka (Green Mario Warp Pipe)
Dokkan Bazooka (Yellow Mario Warp Pipe)
Scallion (Wand)

I was slightly distraught to find that when I traded my Samus Power Beam to my US game, it turned into a generic handgun with a generic description, though the stats stayed the same. Anyway, here's hoping these fun weapons are still in there in their original forms, and that the codes for them pop up somewhere.

My mind went "WTF" when I saw the Nintendo stuff in the weapons list.

too bad that if you transfer the nintendo items from japanese version to american, it will turn into some generic crap.

Does the puyo soul work on any lvl 60 mag or does it have to be a certain tier of mags?

If I'm not mistaken, all mags in PSZ evolve to their fourth form at level 60. So, to answer your question, the puyo soul will work with any level 60+ mag, including level 100 mags. And also, if I'm still not mistaken, the mag will retain the nature and PB it had before using a soul on it.

EDIT:
Well, I was pretty close. Pure mags don't evolve at level 60, however you can still use the puyo soul on any level 60+ mag.

And the new PSZ mag evolution guide looks quite nice:

Okay i was just wondering because I've been making a pure power mag so far and was wondering if i could use a soul on it or not. Idk if i'll keep it pure though, I could end up wanting a different photon blast.

Remember there is a joint trunk now, so you can simply deposit the weapon there every time you log and pick it up on the character you want it in.
