they do that in karate to, especially competitive karate, I remember my sensei had to give a lecture to us as we got in the upper belts, about how if you wore a belly button ring or something, you had to put tape over it.

I can't remember which one it was, probably Cyber-Stein (which has been reprinted in newer sets, and also banned in Advanced format), was sold for a good 5-digit figure between $20,000 and $30,000. I think the seller ended up getting a new car afterward... @_@

Other than that, Crush Card Virus used to sell for around $200 to $300 (I got one in a trade once and then I lost it >_< ), and I think Magic: the Gathering's Black Lotus has gotten close to $500+, depending on what set it was from.

Black Lotus is worth more than that.

Also, how the hell would something from Yugioh fetch even $200? Lotus is valuable because of scarcity... (In that Alpha,Beta, and Unlimited did not have the amount printed of modern sets) ...and also that its never, ever, going to be reprinted. I can't believe someone would pay $200 for a card printed in the last 10 years. Hell, Baneslayer Angel (Read:Horribly overpowered card used in every white deck in Standard) is merely $60. Fetches (Every deck uses, period. Barring Vintage, where things like Lotus are legal) are about $20-$30 as I recall.

Well, apparently I was wrong - there's 18 copies of the original Shonen Jump version of Cyber Stein and it didn't actually sell for $20,000, according to this article, but it's still rare and expensive as hell. The Dark Beginnings Volume 2 edition of Cyber Stein was released to the public; it's probably only worth around $20 or so.

How do you tell the difference? It's all in the foiling of the card title and image, and whatever alphanumeric code on the middle right side of the card tells you what series it's from, and what number. Many promotional cards also have "LIMITED EDITION" printed on them.

Shonen Jump version on the left, Dark Beginnings Vol. 2 version on the right. Although it's difficult to tell in the image, I'd say the Shonen Jump version is what's known as an Ultra Rare (gold foil title with foil card image), and the DB2 version I know is a Normal Rare (silver foil title, but a regular image - no foil), because I used to have one. =P

I think they also said he can't drive cars either. So grocery shopping must be a pain in the ass. But he does eventually learn to teleport, though not during the game, sadly.

I played it a bit but didn't beat it yet (darn my curiosity!), though I got the megawatt hammer...and I was good so I had that homing capability. If I could be a super hero, it would definitely be one with that power. Lol
Megawatt Hammer was fun. But if you became good and used the Grenades when they were maxed out, it was simply haxalicious in how overpowered they were. 1 shot, 1 kill (well, not KILL, but y'know). Pretty much made me stop using Hammer unless I was fighting against the "Genolas."

Ehh... I think they had the city quarantined for whatever reason. And I hope they make a sequel. The ending was kinda disappointing because I really wanted to see what happened with the BLAAAARGH.

Ehh... I think they had the city quarantined for whatever reason. And I hope they make a sequel. The ending was kinda disappointing because I really wanted to see what happened with the BLAAAARGH.

Lol. Yeah. That happened to me a lot. Usually when I was riding a train. I'd just start slipping through, jump a little, sink in through the roof and finally fall infintely through the pavement below.

For a game with such a long dev. period, it really had a lot of kinks.

But yeah, the city was confined. He could've gotten off the island early in the game, he just kinda missed the chance and wound up completely surrounded by water. I dunno. I just don't want lame ass invisible walls.

Back to the Infamous conversation, I did try to go for the platinum trophy (I always do, I'm part perfectionist, lol) but I only played for a total of 5 or 6 hours (the PS3 is at my dad's in Tacoma, while I live with my step dad, so I only get to play about every other weekend and he got it last time I came over)...of course, most people could beat a game this fast, but I take forever collecting EVERY. LITTLE. THING. That's why I love Mass Effect ^.^ I've spent over 12 hours, and haven't even beat the first mission (on Noveria/Ferros/Artemis Tau)...lol...same with Assassin's Creed 2, I've played about 20 hours on it and barely made it to Venice...lol...

Yay!! I LOVED Golden Sun! Unfortunately, I ended up playing the second one first, not realizing it was the second (because of the lack of a "Number 2" on the cartridge, lol, it didn't have a case with it either) until I had already beaten it and told my friend about the game...he had the first and had never played the second so we traded...it was like over a year ago when we traded and I still haven't beaten it...mostly because I played for maybe 5 hours then stopped...got busy and stuff and haven't really felt like playing it...though it was so awesome...

I'm almost the same way.
I take FOREVER to beat a game.
Not sure why that is, but eh.

The first day I played that game, I spent over 15 hours playing with my RL friend.
We dominated.

I will say the first Time Crisis for PS1 was awesome if you had the gun.

Well, I don't really have a preference. But I do tend to go for adults, contrary to popular belief.

I'm currently taking a world hunger class (which I should be writing a paper for right now), and I had no shame in walking out of the local supermarket one fine afternoon on the way to said class. "My metabolism is far too high for me to not eat 24/7. If society didn't frown so much on it, I'd eat people," I thought to myself. As soon as I concluded said thought, I saw a group of kindergartners boarding a school bus. Was extremely awkward.

That said, I don't know why I don't eat more people. It's an extremely renewable resource. Though I hear that American birth rates have been shot recently. In any case, when your appetite is as large as mine, you start to view everything as food.

I'm not fat. Nor am I "big-boned." Cutting that question off at the knees.

I actually went back to Vista because the trial thing has ended.
Coming back to Vista made me realize HOW MUCH I HATE IT!

Not only that, I went from 64-bit to 32-bit. I can see a lot of differences.

Not really sure what you have to do to fix that. Have you bought Windows 7?

nah, lol i pirate it, because of these very reasons xD

but yeah, i also tried that too, i completely removed the gfx driver, rebooted, windows reinstalled it and i was able to update it (as it wouldnt let me beforehand)

What is odd however is, the VERY first time it was perfect, not a single darn problem, untill i reboot my PC and splat it just decides to disable aero.

All in All, i'll give this next copy im downloading a try, and if no luck i'll just try finding a stable and reliable windows XP. since i found that IDT program for sound (Oh Damn the joy i feel for finding it).

I cant wait for the day someone releases their own OS, that is compatible with quite abit of things. I wouldnt care how buggy/unfinished it is, as long as it meets min:
Windows XP standards (Ram, processor, CPU usage)
No constant disconnecting (every 10-15mins)
NO PROMPTS, unless its similar to windows 7's prompt, which isnt as spammy as vista's.
and compatible with DX9, most GFX cards, and a thing to auto-detect USB devices.

By the way, what kind of differences have you noticed from switching to 32bit?

I notice the performance is not as good with 32-bit as it is with 64-bit.

I disconnect from the internet when I'm downloading something.
Or if I have too many tabs open.
Never once had this problem with 64-bit Vista or 7.
With 64-bit, I wouldn't disconnect at all, specially with Win7.

Only thing I hate about 64-bit editions is that a lot of drivers (PS3 controller, PSP stuff, and other homebrew stuff) aren't originally compatible with 64-bit Windows, so you have to use user created drivers. Which sometimes works a lot better than the licensed drivers.

I've always had problems with 32-bit Windows; Vista, and 7.

I'll probably be going to 64-bit Vista, then buying/pirating the Win7 64-bit.
Microsoft sent me a FREE 64-bit Vista Disc, and all I did was send an email saying I don't want to pay so much for a 64-bit, just so I can have it.
So, they sent "Sorry for your inconvenience, here's a 64-bit Windows Vista Disc, FREE!".
So I sent back, "hell yea, thanks!" lol.

Now, if only they'd send me a Windows 7 64-bit CD. Haha.

I found that the main problem I had when Aero wasn't working was the graphics resolution settings. My computer had Aero when it started, but then something forced Aero to go away. That was because a program that wasn't compatible with Vista-64 had put it from 32-bit to 16-bit graphics.

I could see companies making more money off pay to play games, than charging monthly.
When people have the option to pay for awesome things, specially when it's a lottery type item, people would spend more than a monthly cost just to get said item.

My friend plays a Mabisomething game, and he pays for a card that rebirths you, and he only has to wait a week, while the free part is only waiting 3 weeks, or something like that.

If there was a $10+ monthly fee, my friend said he'd just wait the 3 weeks, rather than paying $10+, and the rebirth card.

I think from now on, I refuse to pay monthly for a game. Specially if it's going to be another PS game....I'm talking to you SEGA.

I wasn't able to play online with my 360, because I never paid for XBL.
I didn't play my 360 enough to justify paying $60, or any amount of money to play online.

If Sony did the extra features for a price, but kept the online gaming free, then I'd still play normally.
Though one of the few things I LOVED about the 360 was the cross-game voice chat.
I absolutely loved that feature. I was actually wondering why if the Ps3 was competing with the 360, why wouldn't the PS3 have that feature?

Now, I don't think Sony will start charging for the normal online gaming, because it's been free for so long, the users will rage about them starting to charge.
Though I bet there will be those people that just don't care.

To be honest...if I had to pay for PS3 online gaming....I might, but very unhappily.

Boston- Foreplay/Longtime specifically. Fuck that song is long and hard(lol). I tried the drums on the hardest difficulty...my legs almost fell off, but I finished it!

With me, I'm not too picky about the music I listen too, until it comes to screamo/country/or crappy bands.

I'm not into the new emotional rock bands, or whatever they're called.
I HATE Good Charlotte and New Found Glory (what ever happened to NFG? lol)
I hate all things they stand for, and sing about. I just hate that genre of music.

I like almost anything from Elvis, to Queen-KISS-Nirvana(I actually loved the "Grunge" genre for some reason)-Korn-(some) Slipknot- RAP.

I love "Old Skool" rap, and like some of the newer stuff.
Mostly just the older stuff, from the 90's and some from earlier on.
I love B-Real from Cypress Hill, Love Snoop Dogg..

Mostly anything you can just listen to without "being cool".

True Story. When I was a smiley face poster kid on these here PSOW in FKL for the first time, or trying to post, I got upset and sent an angry PM to some guy who changed my words into "I love Penguin Batman!"

Being the (proficient in arguments stereotype) Englishman he was, profile even, "Calm like a Hindu Cow" or similar paraphrase, he produced a valid reply apologizing back he meant no harm and hoped that I might enjoy the topic again in the future.

Every game someone mentions any new ol thing, you find a way to get it, even when at first you didn't like it! This is good with like PSZ or something, because that's sorta why the site exists, but could get bad if you're just cannon fodder for your friends!

Ever lose one of your games?

Well, I'll admit I try to get every game possible, but I don't end up playing all of them. (Saying I'll look em up, and I'll get it are two different things though, if you're talking about the DS games).

Though, I don't spend any money on games....I like to pirate games, which I know is wrong of me, but I'm poor.
I know that's no excuse either, but it's easier for me.
When I do get money, I do buy games. Which isn't making up for it, but it helps a little.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't pirate all my games. I buy PS3 (and when I had my Xbox, and a job, I bought all those games).
I buy PSP games I like, but since my sister threw my PSP out of my car, it wont play UMD's, so it limits me to PSN downloads or pirating.
(Still not an excuse to steal games, but that's what I do)

I've bought EVERY PS game I own though!
I have lost a game, but only because I let someone borrow it, and I never got it back. That was Need For Speed Undercover. One of my favorite NFS games.

I went for admission tests a few months ago, passed, and nothing ever came of it.

But I've already bought too many games recently and have some unplayed/unfinished/un-Metal Gear Big Boss 3 Fight the Big Last Boss not green but like Blanka guy. Wonder if that Ocelot online mode is still around, and what happened with MGS4/Online big full game?

You could investigate the USO's though. Just don't police shoot the spacecraft that can also dive underwater into those snaking caverns miles deep, without pressure problems.
