Question on magvolutions

I really liked my mag, Hagal. But while working on it, it changed into Ansul. I know why and I know how to change it back... but guard is such a ... well underpowered skill, ESPECIALLY with the no invuln time anymore, that I really don't want to get to 100 and have guard as my second highest stat. Is there a way to make it stay as Hagal w/o having to get it to 100 and have my stats be way messed up?

I really like Hagal as well, i would like to know if its possible to retain the mag as hagal and lvl power and guard equally like 50 hit 25guard 25power?
