i have been wondering this for a long tme.What depends on how strong the attack of a magic will be,and how much it takes off?mst?atp?or teq level?plz answer

mst, tech level/power, enemy resistance, weapon or item bonus and class bonus

the actual formula is

(Tech level power + mst) / 5 x weapon bonus x guard bonus x character bonus x (1 - resistance /100 of enemy)

mst- effects power of techs

tech level- effects the range and tech power

Class bonuses- different FOs get different bonuses to certin techs

resistance- Your enemys resistance to that type of tech

All those effect how much damage your tech will do.
