View Full Version : Crazy idea to swap friends codes in free play

had a crazy thought when looking at the layout of the floor pattern in the teleport room.
You could indicate your friends code to people by standing on the floor pattern
in particular spots in sequence, if we assigned numbers to particular spots.

Maybe like the diagram above.
The area near the entrance would be "0" and "1" to "8" clockwise around the ring
with "9" in the center.

Clumsy, error prone and inconvenient but it makes the impossible possible.
What do people think?

Obviously it'd be kinda hard to tell everyone owning the game this and stuff, but I think it's a really clever idea and I commend you for it.

Actually a decent idea -- the thing is, though, if people already are here, they could easily just swap codes with each other. And if they aren't, they wouldn't know this idea.

You could change your character's name to your friend code (before free-playing), though, which is a much simpler idea... if there is enough space.

Yes there are 12 characters available so F/C as character name will work.
Of course this assumes you are happy to give everyone your F/C, probably not a real issue since you need to
add them too. You can work out real character names next time you meet up.

Yeah this is actually pretty creative.
I don't think it would work unless it became VERY common practice, and like Leet said, people from PSOWorld might just get the FCs directly. Still, nice idea.

Don't they just point at what level is selected/activated?
Or maybe they intended it to be used this way? >.>

Nintendo too smart for us lol.
I tried A=1 B=2 C=3 etc Z=0 that works but people need to be smart enough to decode it.

Cool idea. It would work better on gamefaqs as a FAQ. Just type up something and add the words to the chart. Then all who search for the game will see it.

They allow picture FAQs.

Then you will be published.

DEEEJJHIGEFF its still hard to decrypt for laymans term

but what if we made it like this instead

A=1
B=2
C=3
D=4
E=5
F=6
7=7
8=8
9=9
J=0

that way its easy to decipher that the name ur using is your FC

also it'll bypass the anti-fc charname check by nintendo

so my charname would be like DEEE00897EFF
