It is, but you don't have to use the controller part of it. Just plug in the keyboard and a regular controller and you'll be able to type with the keyboard and use the normal controller.

Is that how that "Happy Fun Box" works?

Yes I use the controller on the keyboard. I mean, why not. Its the exact same as the normal gamecube controller. Just as comfortable. But there's nothing wrong with using your Wavebird either. The ppl who purchased the PC KEYBOARD adapter obviously have to do it DC style. Oh Murako/Tamora, soweee for being such a meanie last night. I was tired. =)

Yeah, it's not bad once you use Z to pause.

I just got mine yesterday (nice seein' some of you guys in the lobby last night, that was a lot of fun http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) and so far, it feels great using the controller part. I even played a bit of Zelda Master Quest earlier with it and had absolutely no problems. It lacks vibration though, huh? That's really the only drawback I can think of... Eh, maybe the funky little start button, but I'm used to it now.
I think that if I used a seperate controller, I'd get mixed up too often. Seeing as I keep controller 4 nearby for snapshots, having THREE controllers near me at one time would drive me nuts. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I use the keyboard controller online & the regular controller offline.

How much do they cost...or do you have to import them?

I do now, because it's easier to sit in my chair whilst just holding one item rather than dangling around 2 items. If i'm on the floor while someone else is using my computator or in my bed then i sit with the keybaord and go DC style whilst moving with a normal controller.

Yeah I rock it DC style too. The KB controller is just to bulky to use as a controler for me easier to just leave it there and type on it. But then again I'm hella lazy.

I have always used the Z button to pause, even when I was using my WaveBird.
