Anyone have any idea what this weapon's special is? It's not posted in the item database, and I've seen it in use, but nothing special seems to become of it.

I have found one and the special is very unique.

This will be easier to understand if you know how Photon Launcher's work.

Basically the special attack shoots one shot instead of three. The bullets are much bigger, and the damage will be greater than a "normal attack" but weaker than a "strong attack".
Finally, the attack works like a Photon Launcher.
If enemies are lined up, or grouped really close together, it will hit all of them.

I'd say it's pretty useful. A lot of people don't like it, but if you really think about it, not many players use "rare weapon" specials anyway (aside from the Frozen Shooter/Bringer's Rifle etc.)
At least this weapon has a special that is useful in certain situations.
It's a lot better than the terrible "confusion" ability that is tacked on to so many rare weapons out there.
