How do I get the patch update?

Just got the game and I got the sg4041 error when I tried to go online (didn't even ask for my serial or anything yet). And then I googled and found that there was a patch update for version 1.01. So, I pressed triangle on the UMD icon and chose update, but it said that I had the latest version. So, I booted up the game like normal, but it didn't say version 1.01 and I got the same error from online mode.

What do I have to do to get the update? I'm on firmware 6.20 US.


If there was already a sticky for this, I'm really sorry, but I looked around and couldn't find it. ^^;

I guess so, I just read on bumped.org/psublog that there was a 1.01 patch update and figured that might be why I was getting the sg4041 error when I tried to log on. But anyway, my game doesn't see the update and I can't seem to log online.

Is this your first time going online? You have to register your CD Key through the jpn PSN Store using the redeem code option. (pencil with a 12 next to it)

Ohhh! Thank you so much, that helps a lot haha. Now, since I have to enter the key through the redeem codes system, does that mean I can't tie the serial to my US account? :/

JP PSN and US PSN isn't connected to each other.

Has to be a jpn account. Do a forum search for PSN Requirement and you'll see an old topic of mine where Amherst posted a step by step guide for making a jpn psn account. I'd give you a direct link but I'm on my phone and not near a pc right now.

Thats alright, I already had a JP PSN account from back when I had a trial key :] I was just hoping that there would be some off chance that these full version keys could be tied to US accounts, but oh well.

Anyway, sorry to be a pain, but now it seems whenever I try to sign on, I receive error sg3126. Just about an hour ago, I was playing online just fine and now I seem to be getting this message everytime. Any idea why?

Server Maint from 13:00JST(11EST) til 17:00JST(3AMEST) it's for the patch I believe.

For future reference and so I don't freak out everytime there is maintenance, where did you get that time slot from?

It was on the information screen when you log on right before you select universes. It wasn't on last night but I logged in 30 minutes before it started and saw it.
