depends on server.

Some use a trainer and some alow ppl to use /npc commands.
Either way search the forum of that private server for the trainer or the commands

He means check the forums of the server your playing on for skin mod instructions, each server does it a little different, and being private servers we can't discuss specifics for those servers. Forums rules and all.

but, how do I know which server im on?

Does the server have a website? you downloaded a client from somewhere right? from the forum or from the website simply check any headers (images) and check the name.

In ANY case, visit the forum of the private server, here we can't do much
