Multi-mode single player?

I was looking at psupedia and noticed some missions are 'multi-mode only'. Can you play 'multi-mode' in single player or must it be done in, well, multiplayer mode?

If so, do people still play this one in AdHoc Party via PS3?

some do as long as they tell each other that they will do Ad Hoc Play instead of Online play.

PSPo1 had one mission you needed other people for, Value of Research (or whatever), last Neudaiz one, meaning that without adhoc/friends you can't get the rewards for having played multi-player or having done all Neudaiz missions (and thus the "all titles" title). PSPo2 has one mission like that for each planet. :disapprove:

Well for the all missions per planet titles, you only need to do the free missions in PSP2, unless there's a title for extra mode missions too.

You can play Multimode by yourself without any problems. However, there are some Co-op only missions that do require two or more players. The PSUpedia entry probably was referring to those Co-op missions.
