Its really sad news but he passed away earlier this morning. For a time all I had was basic cable and I used to watch his show when I was a kid. My favorite episode was when he took you and showed you how crayons were made. Heres a link showing you how he affected so many people.

This is really sad. I grew up watching his shows. My favorite was the one where he had the hip hop dude showing him how to breakdance.

He will be missed. ;_;

One of my former teachers named is Mr.Rogers, and when we heard it on the morning announcements today everyone was confused. My teachs thought he died, their were some quite funny reactions.

Heck, I would still watch his show if I could find it.

I watched his show when I was little, and can still think of his "It's such a good feeling, to you you're alive..." song, but I don't feel bad at all. This is probably due to the drugs I'm on =>_<=;;

I grew up watching him. His voice always seemed so calming. o_O

Not in a "creepy old uncle" sort of way..but it was just always soft.

..and you may all stop staring akwardly at me now. 0_o

In any case, yeah, I always enjoyed his show. Even doing the most mundane thing, like feeding his gold fish, seemed more interesting when he did it.

That crayon episode was kick ass. And that puppet cat Ms. Meow Meow was kick ass too.

Personally, I loved these little models he had of the Trolley, and all the buildings.

Its funny you should mention this...because not many people know why he always wore long sleave shirts. But, because I'm so informative; I'll tell you.

Mr. Rogers changed his life after he left the army, because he was a sniper, and had some pretty vulgar tatoos on his arms. (Dealing with war)

Mr. Rogers was great. He's a hero, I watched him religiously when I was a child. Let them all make jokes, but if you do, you're nothing but a pinko commie bastard. If you can't love Mr. Rogers, then there is no hope for your life.

And Ninja Turtles. This new show is a disgrace. Ah, if only I could be young again.

i used to watch that show when i was smaller...my baby brother watches it now time to time.
when i heard of his death, i heard it on the car ride home from a store on the radio. the people on the radio were saying it was all sad and stuff that he died and how he touched america and stuff and they were saying he was a good interviewer (and this is where it really pissed me off since i had respect for mr.rodger) they were playing a recording (it wasnt really him) of mr.rodger interviewing this guy and they were making fun of him.....
