whats the item "small scrap" for? i cant seem to figure out a use for it so far in the game

i also have another question, why is it i cannot progress further in story mode? are the missions lvl based like PSU or is there certain requirements? since i havent beaten the game yet

small, large and shimmering? scraps are just for selling but break those walls! I've gotten grinders and celeb elements out of em sometimes.
Uhhh if you mean progress on normal difficulty you gotta do all the quests that say "main" next to them if you don't see any you probably gotta walk somewhere in town cause you missed some dialogue like in the mayor's office or something.
To get to super hard you gotta do all the Hard mode quests excluding the cake shop quest.
