transfering from one character to another

how do you transfer stuff between characters? I know it involves the storage box :-?

Storage box is the same for all characters. Put desired item in storage box. Switch Character, get desired item out of storage box

You can transfer clothes between characters if you have somebody to play Ad-Hoc with.
