First of all, complete credit for these resistances goes to http://pszero.wikiwiki.jp/. All I did was work it out into English. If there are any mistakes or if this has already been done much better by someone else, please tell me. I did not find it on the main site. If you find no value in this that is okay too. The numbers next to each type of attack indicates the level of resistance of each hostile to that kind of attack. A higher number means a greater resistance. For example, if the highest number resistance for a hostile is ice, then Barta should do the least damage when compared to the other equal leveled techniques. Sorry, I have yet to find resistances for the booma and rappy rare monsters, so this is currently incomplete. All of the other hostiles are listed, so obviously there will be spoilers if you have not completed the game (not that I think that is a going to be a problem). Also, sorry that the list is not more neatly organized.

SO that would explain why my daggers suck in wetlands and half of shrine, but rip mother trinity apart D:..

I've actually been working on a chart format of my own... though only have it filled in for the valley, so far. xD

It includes resists, health, exp, immunities, etc. Found it actually posted on some site a while back and made a chart for it. Been meaning to add the info of the other areas, but hard to input that info & play at the same time, for me.

Wow so the only places that Ranger can be effective is only Snowfield, Wetland and Ruin although Plant and Shrine is somewhat average (one or two hostiles in those in Plant and shrine are still gun resist). Way a go SEGA for being a jerk!! Oh and thanks for posting this, now I know which areas to still clear from depending which chracters I am playing.

They weren't "being a jerk". It's just that they aimed PSZ to be a WiFi game. Therefor, you'd have friends to make up for your class not being so great in a given area and you could make up for them being not so great in another area. It's called team work.

Even still we all know that rangers are the least powerful class of the three, after all there are past topics about it (ranger can't deal enough damage etc). This is all because of PSO the ranger were really powerful so they try to balance it in PSZ but over did it. Anyway knowing the hostiles resistance show how much more difficulted certain class has (I learn playing Paru as my Ramar the hard way that his mech guns did tiny damage to them).

On the Japanese wiki where I found the resistances there was also some additional information like what you are talking about, but it was incomplete. If you want to finish it that would be great. I could post the information I have found so far as well.

Volta, thanks for making it easier to see what techniques and weapons to use against each enemy. I corrected the DF hind entry to correct it. "Shock" should have been melee, but I suppose that was not too difficult to discern given the order of the resistances.

I appreciate the thanks, but most of the work was done by the people who originally posted this on the Japanese PSZ wiki. All I did was make it a little easier to understand in English.

Mid knight, I pretty much agree with you about the Ranger resistance. I was surprised to see how prevalent gun resistance was. I really did not think guns were less effective against so many hostiles. I guess Forces have it the best because they can hit everything at its lowest resistance except a few hostiles like DF. Still, you would either have to have multiple attacking techniques on your palette or switch between them to really be able to exploit those resistances.

Google, I am glad you like it since the point of bringing it here was mostly to help with forces.

My intent with the info I had gathered, would be to make a pdf file that could be downloaded here. I'm sure someone would make it into a chart usable right on the site as well.

As I said though, I only have it filled out for normal, hard and SH valley. Nothing else, so far.

I actually think they are just for the Hostiles in general. I am pretty sure the hostiles all have the same ratio of resistances no matter what difficulty they are in. It is just that their actual resistance stats are higher in the higher difficulties.

Some hostiles are immune to some types of damage and status effects in SH.

Example would be Garahadan being immune to electric (zonde included) attacks in SH, but those attacks can deal some damage in normal/hard. Garahadan is also immune to shock and instant death status effects in SH.

Also I find some discrepancies in this data. It lists that Chaos & Mobius and Humilias have less thunder resist than things like Korses, but I find that Korses take much more damage from zonde than those bosses.

What sort of damage for FO weapons do? Are they all melee, or is the slicer a gun?

Unsure what the slicer would count as, but rods and wands are melee.

There could very well be problems there, but unfortunately I took the resistances from the Japanese wiki I mentioned in my first post, so I am unsure what I could do about that.

I have a hunch that the Korses just have lower defense in general than the bosses and that would be why it seems like they do not resist Zonde as much. I suppose a decent analogy would be comparing the damage that Zonde does on a hostile with a good degree of Zonde resistance in a lower difficulty vs. Korses in Very Hard.

You could very well be right about the error though. I might have to check that out.
Feel free to tell me about any other possible issues you see.

I think it's more that bosses have a kind of thing about them that increases their overall resistances to things compared to most enemies. I've found that almost all my attacks do less damage comparatively to bosses than most enemies that would be around the same level of resistance to that ability.

I think you are right about that. I mean, look at DF's resistances for example. I am I pretty sure that I have done less damage to it with a melee weapon than I have to other hostiles with the exact same resistance.
