NPCs and story

Just two small questions...

Is there only four NPCs available in the whole game?
No one else is obtainable than Kai, Sarisa, Ogi and Reve?

And is there an extra story kind of thing?
Beating the Human, CAST and Newman mode, that is it with the games story..?
