Hey, I'm new to this game and was wondering if you HAD to have Wifi to play with another person? Is there a direct connect DS feature? I'm in a college dorm and DS wifi doesn't get through the filters. Thanks a lot!

The DS can emit its own wireless signals for local play, you guys just need to be in the same room or something, the range is kinda limited. But yes, you can play multiplayer without Wi-Fi.
