Quick question about Elemental Synthesis

Can you add anything other than a level 1 element to a weapon with no element? Is it random what level it will be or is it always level 1?

Excluding Taxion, Luxion and Tachyon guns only level 1 elements can be added to weapons without one. The aformentioned guns are random from 1-5.

If a normal (not 10 meseta rare) weapon already have an element with, let's say a level 4 Heat and you want Celeb, just use a celeb element on it and it becomes celeb lvl 4.

Basically what the other guys said. If the weapons doesn't come with an element, and you add an element on, it will ALWAYS be level one. Note that you can't add or change elements on rare weapons (rare being a selling value of 10 meseta)

Now, if a weapon you pick up has an element let's say...heat level 4. If you don't like heat and want to add...Celeb. If you do that, the element will change, but the level will stay the same.

So, it's generally better to change elements on weapons, then add an element to a weapon with no element. Unless you have an affection towards a certain weapon...
