I dont know about you, but I'm finding these games to be particularly interesting. Especially because the gold and silver ice dancing couples trained about 10 minutes away from my house! If you didnt see them, here they are starting with the gold medalists:

Personally I enjoyed the Davis and White's performance more, even though they got a significantly lower score. Actually, the Russians who got bronze said they thought the Gold medalists didn't deserve the score either, but I dont know...

Anyway, about Apolo Ohno! The most decorated winter olympian is US history. I couldnt find any videos of him, but for those of you who watched the race last night... Did you think he deserved to get Disqualified? I thought it was interesting how he nudged the Canadian who had nudged him in the previous race, causing Ohno to lose balance and get bumped down to fourth place.

Anyway, discuss anything that has happened in the winter olympics if you please...

I've been watching. These Glitch Olympics have gone by too fast.

Also I've seen more contact on short track skating and he shouldn't have been disqualified for it. The S. Korean touched two people and managed to make Hamelin tumble, although Hamelin won gold.

That was a a silly call. ;[

Yeah, part of me wants to say "convenient how he nudged a CANADIAN player while the olympics is in CANADA and got called" But I dont know enough about the sport to say it yet.

Gee, I wonder where this blogger is from? I disagree with this, to say the LEAST! I'm going to take the side of the best speedskater in US olympic history over some yahoo boy.

Damn them Canadians! :p

I don't think I ever sat down and watched any of the Olympic games.
I did see, and was intrigued by the female Gymnasts when I was about 7 though.
If I remember right, there was a 16ish year old that won a gold.
I have no idea specifically the event was, that was 14 years ago. :o

I've been watching the hockey and skiing games whenever I have the time, and it's a lot of fun. Big day ahead for us tomorrow in men's hockey... GO CANADA!!! :D

I'd watch them if they introduced the underlooked sport of Extreme Curling Hockey:

I must second this.

I'll be sad to see the olympics end now there won't be anything good on TV

True, and I will be canceling my cable service. I've been watching the NHL online, so I really won't have a need for it.

I loved watching Curling. Both Genders did very well....even though the Womens Curling Team from Switzerland ran out of steam and fell apart in the end....But I loved the Hockey.

Im gonna have to root for USA's hockey team. Although its quite akward playing against Yzerman's team, when he is a former Red Wing. Naturally, living in Michigan I root for them...

Okay! 1 - 1 overall, when is the tie breaker? :P

Final score: 3 - 2 Canada. No complaints here! Goal scored with 20 seconds left making it an OT game. Good enough for me considering we weren't on home ice! *sigh* Why cant Canadians play football :(

That was quite a hockey game. I think both teams proved why they deserve to be in the Gold Medal game.

Congratulations to Canada for winning the gold.

Congratulations to the USA for making Canada fight with everything they had for that gold, and earning very respectable silver medals themselves.

Anyways, now that my team lost the gold medal game aren't I supposed to start rioting, overturning SUVs and throwing bricks through windows now? Isn't that what we're supposed to do when our team loses a major sporting event?

Someone help me overturn this car! I'm not strong enough to do it myself!

Yeah, i'm still hurt about the Lindsey Jacobellis thing, i'm a huge fan and wanted her to win SOOOOOOO bad.... She would've won if she hadn't went out of bounds on that landing... DAMMIT!!!! But at least Apolo Ohno fried, and Shaun white destroyed the competition

Yeah it was pretty good overall. Both countrys seem to be happy with their positions. ("both" being the USA and Canada)

Now I just wish the USA would stop sucking in olympic soccer. They're thinking about removing it from the Olympic games anyway D:
