So poisen is just a crappy version of burn. Was wondering about that.
Is it 2% of max health or 2% of remaining health?

2% of max. Ditto on poison.

So poisen is just a crappy version of burn.

Poison, though, lasts longer than burn and in turn does more damage. Level 1 burn lasts for six seconds and level 1 poison lasts for twelve seconds. This means burn will damage an enemy for 6% in total and poison will damage an enemy for 9% in total.

Basically, poison is slower but does more damage. Burn is faster but does less damage.

Death more chance on higher % or just the LV only?

I'm pretty sure element has doesn't affect effect. The higher level the effect, the better/stronger the effect is.

In PSU:

麻痺 = Stun
With Stun, enemies don't come out of the status effect when you hit them, whereas larger enemies will break out of Freeze within a single hit.

When frozen, just like PSO, if you move left and right simutaneously you can break out of it faster; though, no where near as fast as you can in PSO.

When extending a weapon, [特殊効果なし?] keeps the status effect the weapon already has -- keep that Stun!

This should be helpful to those not familiar w/kanji. It's now in the sticky list. Feel free to update & contribute.

are burn/poison as useful as they were in PSU(burn/virus) against mid-bosses with huge hp?

They're good against those Rhino type enemies that can't be attacked from the front. Their constant charging around when you move even an inch away from them is annoying, so having burn/poison is perfect for those.

Yes, it is! I just started teaching myself ひらがな and am still trying to figure out the best way of teaching myself 漢字 :S

Thanks for writing this guide, Mike!
