GC: All about Amplifers and Merges: the Where's and What's

I've been on the lookout for barriers and amps for my quickly growing Pinkal FOnewearl, but there is a lack of good information about where specific barriers and amps can be found. In the interests of furthering the store of information about this gear on PSOW, let's use this thread to compile information on where this stuff pops up, with what difficulty, and with what ID.

I'll start (first) with a link to some of the info about amps as posted in the Guides section of PSOW.

In addition, here are some of my (recorded) findings:
Red Barrier: Bluefull, Very Hard, Jungle Box.
Amplifier of Barta: Pinkal, Ultimate, Forest 1 Box.

I've found a bunch of amps of Barta just by going through The Fake in Yellow quest a bunch of times, but have yet to find a single Blue Barrier. And since I've accumulated two amps of blue, it's kinda irritating. I have two spare Red Barriers in storage, collecting dust along side a Yellow Barrier. Those await the discovery of an amp of red and amp of yellow.

These are all the Amplifier and Barrier finds I've recorded. I've actually found more, but never jotted them down until I realized that they were kinda rare and technically should be in red boxes. And of course all of these came from random boxes.

Ive found every single amplifier in the game execept a Resta, Shifta and the blue amp.

The only barrier missing now is the Assist Barrier...

From what ive experienced the most elusive and hard to find amplifier for me seems to be the blue amp... Ive found quite a few yellow amps and two red amps... I figure that these three should be the most uncommon of the amps because they enhance the damage of an entire group of spells. The others, such as the gizonde, rabarta and foie amp ive found in countless numbers. My best bet to why i havent found the shifta and resta amps is, well, just plain old bad luck i guess. Though i could understand if the resta amp is really rare.

Also, the most common barrier that i find is the Recovery barrier, in every 10th or so Ultimate mines run i do i tend to find a least one. Apart form the Assist barrier (havent found it yet) the most uncommon barrier (for me) is the Blue barrier... I have only found one.

This is all on Section ID PINKAL.

Wow, elfin, that's a damn lot of finds! Guess I should be running around with my Pinkal character more...But what's really weird is the color amp you say is the rarest to find is the one I have the most of - amp of blue. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif Then again, I didn't find those with my Pinkal character. Strangeness.

Lesse what I can remember:

Amp of Blue:
-Redria Normal Ruins 2 (Seek My Master, if I remeber correct)
Red Barrier:
-Redria Mines (Can't remember difficulty or if it was area 1 or 2)
-Pinkal Hard Ruins 2
Amp of Red:
-Pinkal Normal Seabed Upper (not completely sure bout this one, but I'm pretty sure)

These are the only ones I have any sort of recollection on. I've got several other amps lying in the bank, including an amp of resta, but god knows where I found em all. I'll start jotting down where I find em from now on.

Oh, and any Pinkal info on Amp of Yellow would be appreciated. I've got Red and Blue merges (I should spend a P Drop and make a Resta Merge sometime), but I still need the Yellow Merge! It would help tremendously in the Mines!!

I found 1 Amplifier of Barta in Forest 1 Normal, Pinkal ID. I didn't know it was rare but I saved it in my bank just in case. What exactly does this do.. boost Barta by one level?

Just to add another place to find the Blue Barrier..

I've found two in Redria Hard Caves 2 so far (sadly, both have been lost to my carelessness or the fact that my closest force friend gets corrupted every five weeks), both in boxes. Pretty shallowly into it, at that.

Too bad I'm an android. Heh.

Yellowboze Box Level 1 Ultimate Mines

Difficulty Unsure

Amp of Blue
Redria Box Level 3, I think it was Hard, but I'm not sure.

I also have various other Amps, but no clue where I got them. Wasn't really paying attention too much.

Unfortunately it seems that I get too many Blue items... I have 3 Blue merges now, I gave one to a friend. I also have plenty of other amps (no barriers) *sob* but I can't remember where they were found

I'm not sure if multiplayer makes a difference in Rare support frequency, but I found a yellow barrier in the VR Spaceship Alpha. The amplifier of yellow I found in Forest 1 on Hard mode. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I just found a Blue Barrier in Ruins 1 on Normal with my Pinkal FOnewearl. I'm not 100% sure what it dropped off of cause I kill everything then take the loot, but it had to be either one of those big shark things or a Claw. It may also have been off one of the Sorcerer dudes or a Del Saber but I don't think so, and it definitly wasn't off a Chaos Bringer or big octopus dude that eats you. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

It dropped from a normal blue chest in Ruins 2 on Normal, using my Pinkal FOnewearl. If section ID has anything to do with these drops I think Pinkal might be a good one for them.
