5 Easy Steps to Enjoying Battle

You know, not nearly enough people around here apreciate battle mode. So here are 5 easy steps to enjoying battle mode

#1 Dont play rule 1 or 5. They suck. Stick to rule 2 and 3 (and 6 when it comes out). They are the most fun.

#2 Start by playing with friends. Starting out against someone who is decent at battle and ends up pummling you mercesly and then is an ass about it tends to make people not like battle mode.

#3 Dont whine when you lose.......and you will lose. Instead watch how you get beaten, then do the same thing to them. Learn how to battle from losing.

#4 Dont be an ass. No one wants to play with an ass. That goes for all pso modes, but battle especialy.

#5 Dont quit after your 2nd try and say it sucks. Give it a chance. Its the only mode that lets you go player against player, so its not repetitive.

Follow these easy steps and you'll be well on your way to enjoying the best of what PSO has to offer

Basicly Battle mode is to help get thouse PKing urges out of the way befor going in game, since they toke the PKing out of the game http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif most of the rules ( i have read...roll on friday ) seem to work well but you need to know what your fighting against,

some tips that i would things are simple to sunderstand

1/ Dont go running towards a force unless you know whats gonna happen, they will blast you to high heaven befor you get close.

2/rangers = close ranger/long ranger so try to find ways of evening up the fight, ( try using long range yourself, or confusing them...dont knwo how yet )

3/ hunters ( more importantly HUcasts ) will just plain hurt in close combat http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif so try and stay away

Hmm...I had kept hearing otherwise for GC. Yes, the rules of it are good...but it's the rules ST put in place that I keep hearing are spoiling things for everyone, such as that techs are way too strong, and even FO's can't have fun fighting eachother. (Which, as I recall, was a great sport back on DC)

Are you saying there's some way to actually enjoy rules 2 (never did like 3) and possibly 6 when it comes out? I mean politeness and learning is one thing, but if the basis of fighting is trash...?

Ya, its no match for dc battle. But in time people will learn the tricks to gc battle and will be able to aviod the things that make it less fun.

I've only played Battle twice, and I lost everytime, but it was still fun. Plus, I think it's fun trying to come up with strategies for HUcasts VS FOnewearls XP. I had a good strategy once!! ... but I forgot it.

question: if the only reson you are killed is by a high lvled Megid, do you have the right to be slightly ticked
why you may ask?
a battle with a friend (FOmar) his basic fighting style
"go up RAbarta like hell, once the poor sap is froze back slap him with a megid"
*sighs* this is how a lost my 2nd battle, then i re matched him alone and i won..barely it's hard to believe i out teched the masters of the techs *kisses the Slow trap that helped him win in the last 30 seconds of the game* this is a leson "never under estimate the power of a Slow trap"

I will never enter battle mode. I don't like the idea of 'killing' other characters. Not my style.

i myself like battle though it's been months since my alst battle with "him" but it's a good mode also you can play "Real Life PSO" where you have to watch what you shoot you could kill your friend though this would cripple some FOs has there super tech might kill their party as well as the enemy
