Mike's song of the week:

"Mirror"/"Lie" by Dream Theater.
(Honorable mention goes to "Church of the Machine" by Symphony X)

One song it two tracks, progressive at its very best, and Symphony X is great too! Do your self a favour, check it out and enjoy!! Feel free to post your own and try to check everyones picks. And remember no bashing peoples picks! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_bash.gif

My song of the week:

I Can by Nas

This song has a nice positive vibe for young people. Nas speaks like those motivational speakers you would get for school assemblies and stuff. This is the first song that I've ever listened to that you can invision the rapper speaking out to the kids with words of wisdom instead of your usual "spread eagles" or "throw nines."

Good choices, indeed. Along those same lines, my song of the week goes to "When the Water Breaks" by Liquid Tension Experiment (aka Dream Theare without the pesky vocalist).

My pick is nose.

I mean! Uh! Ahh!

"Bring the Pain" - Mindless Self Indulgence / Method Man

I suggest the cover first, (Mindless), then then man's.

new sacred cow by kenna.

download anything from kenna. good. but it seems that kazaa users have been making different titled songs for the song "man fading". so your copy of new sacred cow might actually be man fading.

That song is the most amazing 16 minutes of instumental music ever! I was at the warm up show for the world turbulence tour in New York. It was the concert that they played before they EU tour and before 6 Degrees came out. Someone in the crowd yelled "Play When the Water Breaks!!" LaBrai just looked down at him and went, "yeah buddy, we'll play that too." It was a great show i wish they did play it though. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Here's some ehtno-electronica for ya:

Juno Reactor, "Hule Lam"

Fast tempo and hard beats, but, as with a lot of Juno Reactor's music, the ethnic elements blend PERFECTLY with the electronic in perfect harmony. In this case, African tribal chant and instruments with subtle synth effects and drums.
I can name about 5 other Juno Reactor songs I like just as much, though, this wasn't an easy choice. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_hamster.gif

Neither do I, actually; a friend of mine sent me the mp3. (The only reason I know the album title is because iTunes kept scrolling it at me.) It's the only song of theirs I've heard, since I can never find anything on LimeWire... ever.
However, I'm contemplating just buying El Cielo, based purely on how much I like Same Ol' Road.

Until I actually heard their music, I had assumed that dredg was just another RARRR DIEEE FUCK YOU FUCK YOU DRINK MY PISS DIEEE band. Probably because you and Ananke both like it. :P
