from what i see,we all come from many different places, different walks of life, and we all have VERY different opinions about, well...just about everything :-P
anyway, in order to better understand each other, i think it would be a cool and positive thing to tell everyone about some of your local culture and your personal interests

mine is this http://littlerock.about.com/od/thingstodo/p/bigdamnbridge.htm
srry, couldnt help it XD
i live in a small town in Arkansas, we have 2 horses (had 3, one is dead), 4 rottweilers (and a puppy litter of 6 (one we sold already,)) who are all PURE BREAD GERMAN ROTTWEILERS. very pretty dogs. lets see, our town is being tapped for natural gas (successfully) and as a result, we see a new rig set up every month or so, and our town is growing quickly, which i think is bad because i dont wana give up my quiet patch of land for loud, bright, gas pumping monstrosities
anything else...o yes. i am looking at a computer career when i get out of high-school. i intend to become a 3D artist/animator ^^

Actualy in a way this is to better understand PS0 players. So we know what to say and what's offensive and what not to certain people. Just don't go too far explaining yoursel'ves XD. Watch out when posting links, some1 might take it as an advertisement even though it really isnt :/ Anyway cool idea! I like it! =D

There was a CBS "Tour My Town" video on YouTube awhile ago, but it's been taken down... so here's a random slideshow video of Warsaw, with a few pictures of P-Town mixed in near the end. Pierceton is actually closer to where I live, but it's more of a speed-bump between Warsaw and Ft. Wayne.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-STcpxcwbvg

Because Warsaw is the corporate HQ of Biomet, Zimmer, DePuy and a few other orthopedics companies, there's this odd mix of 21st century technology & culture with Beverly Hillbillies and Antiques... but it works somehow, and it's pretty cool. Those with money snort coke, and those without smoke meth... but they both drink, and get along somehow.

Warsaw is also the home of Tom Metzger, ex-Ku Klux Butt leader and now director of the White Shithead Resistance. So every once in a while, you get a bunch of hooting dickholes on the courthouse lawn, gathered in one place to conveniently mock en~masse.

I can't say if my particular interests are represented locally, but they certainly don't seem to be shared among the people I've met. There may well be an H+ community locally, but I haven't come across them yet.

I could say at one point, I was proud to say I lived in Las Vegas. But being polluted by dirty Californian's day by day, that's long gone.

We have our moments though.

Blazecon0, you live in Arkansas too? Where are you from? I live in Newport, though I often go to Jonesboro a lot.

Fwiw, Sam Walton opened one of his first stores (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Walton#The_first_stores) (not a Wal-Mart though) in my town. From what I've heard, he could have opened his first Wal-Mart here too, but there was some issues with the lease on the building he had, so he had to start elsewhere. I wish I knew where in town it used to be, probably in the old downtown area... most of the old buildings there have been abandoned, sadly. It's kinda ironic now, since Newport is still the only town I know that doesn't have a Supercenter-style Wal-Mart...

Over the weekend, we had our annual Portfest festival in Jacksonport. Too bad I didn't get to go - there's nothing to do around here, although I'm not fond of listening to live country music and wasting my money on carnival rides/games/food either.

Personally, I wish I lived near a nice beach somewhere. Arkansas is just too naturey/agricultural/redneck for my tastes. My neighbor has two mules, and there are fields next to my house, for God's sake... I guess if you're into hunting, camping, farming, or other outdoorsy type stuff, it's an awesome place to live, but not for me.

Also, it doesn't help that my own county was featured in an article in People magazine several years back (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,783341,00.html) about how big of a problem meth was around here... :disapprove:

Hmm. I live 10 minutes from Detroit in a very nice city called Livonia. We live on a nice little piece of land within walking distance of the local Library, Walgreens (Mountain Dew fetish), and the Recreational center. One dog - a little weiner dog that goes by the name of Peanut. I'll post a pic later :3

I used to live in Indianapolis Indiana, Fishers more specifically. Alas, I had to move 4 years ago. A bit more land in that city than buildings, a perfect combonation if I do say so myself. The house was within riding distance of the YMCA!

Personal interests? I like Freestyle soccer - commonly called "street soccer". It's basically various tricks like what this kid does:

Im also very interested in issues like philosophy and politics. I spend my free time debating people on their views if I disagree with them, hacking game codes to enhance gameplay, reading certain mangas, such as Bakuman, killing NAZI zombies, and gaming on my DS.

Oh yeah, I'm a die-hard Mega Man/Megaman/EXE/X/Volnutt/Star Force/Zero fan :3

In case anyone cares :o

I live somewhere in this red parish,[spoiler-box]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5e/Map_of_Louisiana_highlighting_Lafourche_Parish.svg/666px-Map_of_Louisiana_highlighting_Lafourche_Parish.svg .png[/spoiler-box] Lafourche parish. I'm about fourty minutes outside of New Orleans. I live in a little town with a deep French/cajun heritage. My town is filled with sugar cane. During sugar cane season, the bagasse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagasse) fills the air, and it smells like shit. There are tons of fishermen around here. Louisiana has some of the best seafood in the world.

The only thing I don't like about this video is the ad they have in it. This is a pretty accurate crawfish boil. Crawfish are amazing.

We also had a visitor yesterday,

I live in a very small, country town and I love it. Everyone knows each other here. You can't go to Walmart and not expect to see someone you know there. My dad is a dentist and when he goes out in public, he talks to everyone. He could spend four hours talking to people in a store before we live. The oil spill really sucks, and BP sucks even more. I just want the oil spill to be fixed and over with, but the effects are going to last for a long time. We can't go to the beach anymore and all of the fishing is closed. Let's just hope we don't get any hurricanes this year.

I live in a suburb outside of NYC. It's a decent size and there's plenty to do, but I wouldn't be against moving into Manhattan at some point.
