My main question is, what are the requirements to connect to online on GC, if I want to connect the Ethernet cable to my laptop (the Router is much too far away and the other people in the household don't want to move it)? I read through all of the guides on several forums, and they were too complicated to comprehende fully. I tried downloading Dr. DNS, but it wouldn't function on my computer, although I don't even know if it's a necessary step to go through my laptop.
Also, I just remembered, my broadband adapter hasn't had an ethernet cable plugged into it in a long time, and hasn't been in use. It should still function properly, right?
Any suggestions are worth a shot :D
