Don't really watch TV a lot, but I do like to watch the CSI: whatever shows sometimes.
And maybe some other cop shows.
The George Lopez show isn't too bad, but I think I've seen just about every single one.
I'll watch it when I go to sleep sometimes.

That's about it.

Jun 6, 2010, 01:41 PM
Yep, i think they are trying to build up more suspence and mystique in Universe.
But i kinda want some action, something exciting to happen.

Which it does in SG-1 and Atlantis.

Modern Family is excellent.

It's basically Arrested Development plus the Office minus some of the clever wordplay from AD. Very by the books in some ways, but still excellent.

And THANK YOU for reminding me of Jericho! LOVED that show... All good things must come to an end, but Jericho's end was just D:

whats FLCL?

joefro
Jun 8, 2010, 02:02 PM
I stole this from Wikipedia because I also had no idea what FLCL was.

FLCL (フリクリ Furi Kuri?, pronounced in English as Fooly Cooly) is an original video animation series written by Yōji Enokido, directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki and produced by the FLCL Production Committee, which included Gainax, Production I.G, and Starchild Records.

FLCL is a trippy coming-of-age story that does not take itself seriously and is AWESOME.

Plus it's only six(?) episodes, so it doesn't get dragged out.

All the short animes I've seen are incredible.

I should add Eden of the East to my list...

Anyone that likes anime shouldn't pass up on FLCL. Fooly Cooly is the kind of show that just kind of leaves you thinking "WTF?", but the ride is just incredible.

Why do I feel like I just posted in a thread like this?

American shows:
Dexter
Breaking Bad
Community
Parks and Recreation
House (the first couple seasons... then this most recent season (Character development? What's this?); the ones in between are a bit of a drag)
The Office (back when it was fresh and not contrived and not flailing around, hoping to hit upon a laugh or two with the most ridiculous situations)
30 Rock (mostly the first 2 seasons, but, still, ILY Kenneth)
Infomania (It's on the Internet! Well, so is everything else, but who even gets that channel? Can you get that channel on the Tube?)
The Colbert Report (The Wørd is Løve)
Every ridiculous, sensationalistic, pseudoeverything show about OMG THE EARTH WITHOUT PEOPLES and such. Oh and freakin' How It's Made. Tonight, on How It's Made: Cheese Doodles, Clothespins, and Ant Traps. Hell yeah.

British Shows:
Top Gear
Top Gear
Top Gear
Not much longer now until the new season! I think all this excitement is giving me the vapors.

British Shows that aren't around anymore (sadface):
The Office
Pulling
Blackadder (oldmuppet.jpg and iheartcaptaindarling.jpg (http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/370000/images/_374343_captain_darling.jpg) ohandyoutoomelchett.jpg (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/85/Blackadder_2_melchett.jpg/250px-Blackadder_2_melchett.jpg))

Maybe I should stick FLCL in my queue.
And, holy potato, it looks like I watch a metric bumtonne of TV. It's okay, guys; I multitask.

P.S. Coffee: What about Hey, Dude? I think I watched a lot of that when I was younger, but I never could get into Pete & Pete. My knowledge of their escapades ends with going out in a boat and one of 'em falling out (guess who was left--wait, I think I messed that up).

Favorite Bad TV shows when I was young and foolish:
Saved by the Bell (@#$% the college years)
Weird Science (from what I remember, I would throw something very heavy at the TV monitor if I watched this again, but this was SO the highlight of my whenever-I-could-catch-it)
Beast Wars

Let's end this here.

Yes! Well, I'm a LOST, Iron Chef, Ninja Warriors person myself. Iron Chef Japanese version, though. Pfft. Pretty much all of the Cooking channel. Also love the history channel. Oh, and the tv show called Satisfaction. It's on Netflix. Most of you probably shouldn't watch it. It's for old pervy ladies!!

Y'know, I should be embarrassed to admit this, but I recently watched through Avatar: The Last Airbender and it was surprisingly good.

The first season is a little uneven, but the second two seasons hit all the right high notes (and there were only one or two cringe-worthy episodes where I genuinely felt too old to be watching them). At the very least, it was a heck of a lot better than most of the anime I watched when I was a teenager.

Upon completing the anime, I'd recommend reading the spin-off novels!

I probably said this already, but Transformers.

More recently watched, Slayers, probably one of the greatest animu ever, I'm not sure why I didn't watch it sooner.

Current Shows:
Top Gear, Grand-Am racing and 24 Hours of LeMans, Doctor Who, Daily Show, Colbert Report, In Plain Sight, Big Bang Theory, The Good Guys, Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Psyche, House (but earlier episodes where it was only diagnosis and Vicodin addiction more than newer), Numb3rs.

Ended but recent shows:
Primeval, Torchwood, Monk, Robin Hood (BBC).

Also, Special Ops Mission was pretty good, but I'm not sure (couldn't find) if there will be a season 2.
