Hah... Your english is much better than my Russian, comrade. Phantasy Star ONLINE is meant, as you may have guessed, to play online. There are alot of great people to meet and play with but I hear the Gamecube version's population is somewhat shirinking. It should still be worth it to go online. As for the keyboard... Well for me, Phantasy Star Online needs a Keyboard, because without one it's like you're playing with robots :/

keyboards are nice but i have been playing without one for 5 months now. if your english is not so good, you could always use the word select feature. if you are more proficient in german, spanish, french or japanese you could select one of those as your default language. play online and save up for the keyboard.

playing online is much more enjoyable than playing offline. having someone revive you with a moon atomizer, and then returning the favor is the best thing in the world. you must play online if you can. the game really gets good when you are cooperating with others.

Well, like it's been mentioned "Online" is in the title. It's what makes the game fun. Offline is good for unlocking areas and the such, but online is where the fun is. You can make friends, play together, and just simply have fun with those you enjoy playing with. To receive a favor and then to be able to pay it back to you friend, no matter how minor makes you feel great. It's all about teamwork.

As for the keyboard, save up. Better yet just save up for an adapter to hook your keyboard up to and then connect the adapter to your GC. Although they're selling out fast, and require some assembly, it might be worthwhile, considering how expensive keyboards are. You can use shortcuts with both words and smilies and stuff. So I wouldn't sweat the keyboard, although it makes life a ton easier. You don't spend 5 minutes typing out a sentence while your teammate(s) think you have problems on your end.

As for learning English, you're doing really well. Not exactly the most friendly language to learn. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif You're doing fine, and if worse comes to worse on game, like it's been noted, you can use word select. Although my English and spelling isn't exactly great either, and this is my first language. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

A girl gamer, eh? Welcome aboard. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif The older I get, the less attracted to video games I thought I'd be attracted to. So much for that theory, because the older I get it seems the more I love them, and the more I love my older systems.

If you ever get on though, drop me a line. I'm always willing to pick up a new friend to play games with as well as to share my wealth with. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Well, you had it right there, at least partially. The words you were looking for were "Technologically Advanced"

There are always people like me here from whom you can learn proper english grammar, just hang around, read a bit of our posts, and you'll start to pick it up.

Well, if you go online, the server most of us hang out on is Antares 8. If it's your first time online, the servers shown will be the Japanese servers, scroll down till you see Ship/US.

You can find me on Antares 8 on any of the characters in my sig.
(If you can't read the strange symbols, (I couldn't, for a while) they're a slight variation of english lettering. From the right, Fenrir 1, Celesta, Crysta, Odin.)

Edit: And Captain Dude, what a rude and inconsiderate thing to say!

Oops, was what I said rude and inconsiderate? I had no intention of what I said to come of as such. I just found it funny that they had named themselves a dirty word.
I really hope I wasn't offensive. I had no intentions of being offensive.
I'm sorry anyway.

EDIT: accidentaly put what I said in quotes. Whoopsie...

Sorry, Dude, but I just saw that as being offensive. If no offense was meant, neither do I mean you offense. :)

Omni-SqwirL

I was reading it and I could see how it could be taken to offense, but I couldn't find another suitable word to replace that one that starts with an "L". Maybe I'm too lazy

Welcome dievushka. that's the only russian i know (that DOES mean "young lady" right?).

I think you'll have a great time playing online. granted there are vulger children playing and they sometimes can become a nuisance, there are some great players online as well.

if you have a subscription to either CABLE INTERNET or DSL at home, you should be good to go with getting a Broadband adapter. You'll probably want to buy a router also, so you'll be able to connect your computer at the same time. if you don't have either, then go with the MODEM adapter.

Hope to see you online soon!

tATu, I believe that you are referring to a HUnewearl. "new" indicates that the race is Newman (With the long ears) and "earl" means it's a female. Any and every character class ending in the letter l is a female. If not, it's a male.

Someone above said that the PSO community is shrinking... Maybe in the US, but in the world its growing... With the recent realese (today infact in most countries) in EU i cant se how it would shrink.

In Puerto Rico PSO is very popular. I don't think is shrinking.

TaTu: Hello!
I'm happy to hear a girlgamer here. Any of my female friends like video games. They say it's boring and it's "guys" thing. I think I will never get married because of that. And don't worry about your english, I'm not so good either. :/

BTW Is there any other "girlgamer" around?
