Whats the best way to raise a mag with defense?

Whats the best way to raise a mag with emphasis on defense?

I would like to only increase his defense but feeding him items always raises other stats that i don't need.

Anybody have opinions on this?

Well I hate to say this, but it depends. It depends on what kind of mag you have. There are some handy mag raising charts out there that will tell you exactly what kind of chow to use to get your biggest defense boost. If its still raising other stats, then use other mag food to lower em (without lowering your defense) to keep them from leveling up. I find defense is by far the slowest stat to raise for all mag types ;(

I am raising one now. It does take forever since you need about 12 items to fill the bar once.
