Why does everybody stereo-type metal as screemo?! screemo is screemo, deathmetal is generally screemo. there are a ton of types of metal music, and evreybody says i dont like metal because people think only metal is screemo. here's some examples of the numerous metal bands/sub-genres that aren't just screeming and raspy yelling.

Screamo is punk, only worse. Death metal is...well, metal. It's an entirely different genre.

Most people who stereo-type Metal haven't heard enough sub-genres of it. NWOBHM is completely different to death metal and so on. I'd venture to say it's an extremely wide genre where 2 bands can sound completely different but still be classified as metal. If people can't see that it's not ALL screaming, maybe they'd appreciate it more :lol:

That said, screaming/raspy yelling is what I love. :wacko:

lol, im ok with screem and rasp, but i prefer the melody and clarity of power metal vocals/instruments

i also just realized that its been forever since i actually listened to plain rock, i hardly even have any bands of that genre i like. metal has become my music.

has anyone else heard machinae supremcay, im not certain of the genre, but if there not metal there something around it. its a very unique band, i would recommend it pretty much anyone, if you like it tell me.
