Apparently you can't. I don't think my bro found that until we got V.2, and he played THE HELL out of V.1 before V.2 was released.

Yeah, that's the problem, it's an item that exists in ver.1, but it seems the only way to get it is by trading with a pso ver.2 player, i mean, that's odd.
But thanks, it helps to know where it drops.
