Which would you rather have?

A thief that says:

"Noooo, I didn't steal your item" even though you know he did and then cuts out really quickly.



OR



A thief that says:
"Yes i stole your item and no I'm not going to give it back", and then continues to play the game.



Granted neither are good but I, for some reason, would rather have the person who says that he did steal it.

I guess I'd prefer the honest thief. 'Honest thief'...that doesn't sound right =P

actually, "honest liar" is an oxymoron, "honest theif" just doesn't sound right.

Not trying to defend thieves, but sometimes you can accidentally pick up someone else's item in battle... or not even realize that it was dropped by someone when they died.
I know that I have accidentally picked up people's items before... when you are trying to kill the 3 Sinow Beat's that are chasing you down, you aren't too concerned about which items you are near.
As long as you get your item back, I think it's all good. If they give it back without any hassle, can they really be considered a thief?

If you give the item back then you're not a thief. It's when you don't give the item back is when you are a thief.

And yes I pulled my name out of the LoTR books. i have to admit using a gun i tend to accidently pick up fallen comrades items at times i always return them but people are flat out rude...
