PSO episode I & II plus mags

I have a follow-up question when it comes to obtaining rare MAGs. Does it matter at all which way a MAG has gone through the evolution tree(s), or does it all come down to the final stats when it reaches lvl 100? I'm going for a Rukmin from a RA female (DEF + DEX = POW + MIND), so am I free to navigate around the MAG's evolution to get the PB's that I want, as long as I end up with the correct stats at 100?

Edit: and provided that a character with the right section ID makes the last feeding, of course. :)

Only the stats at the evolving level (usually 100, though every 10 levels after can work too) matter. Path to get there doesn't matter (assuming the path doesn't include a Mag Cell).
