View Full Version : Suggestions for Material Consumption

Alrighty, so I have a HUmar. I'm looking to know what would be a good ammount of what materials he should consume? I have been keeping track of what he has had so far.

Alex:
Power Materials - 14
Def Materials -
Evade Materials -
Luck Materials -
HP Materials - 9

I figured Power Mats, of course. But what would be a good ammount of what materials for him? He is Level 101, if that matters at all (shouldn't, but who knows).

Well HP/TP mats have their own separate counter (you can use 125 mats of each), so that's not an issue. As for the other mats, you can use a total of 250. I'd say mostly Pow and Def, Luck next, then Evade.

I know the maxes. My question was as to how many of what mats I should eat?

Are you trying to set it up so you get max stats?

Not necissarily. Just enough so that I am well off. Granted, max stats would be nice.

I don't know anything about maxing stats (though I do know PSOW has guides to it), but I'd say:

Pow: 100
Def: 30
Evade: 10
Luck: 20
Mind: 0

I'm not sure exactly, but that sounds pretty good to me. I personally used about 4 Def mats and 146 Pow mats on my HUcast, and my FOnewm is all Mind mats iirc.

Sounds good.

Any other suggestions from anyone? I'd like to have a tad bit of an array I can pick from XD

I'd say mostly melee attributes, ATP, DFP, EVP, LCK. MST isn't really needed much on a HUmar, but if you want to max it go ahead. Always useful. I'm not very experienced with HUmars so I can't offer much material advice I'm afraid.

I played HUmar on DC v2 a lot, and I'd say Mind isn't really needed that much. The only thing I liked to use Tech-wise is Resta/Anti/Zonde. Other than that, physical attributes (mainly Pow/Def like I mentioned) are really the best way to go. Luck is really good too since obviously nobody minds getting some good critical hits.

Uh, I could get you my friend Girth's plan? Works really well for a practical HUmar that encompasses multiple roles while at the same time maxing ATP, LCK and MST.

I'm not worried about maxing out my MST. I only use my techs every so often.

Can I at least get a suggestion that has approximate numbers attached? Kinda like what I did in my initial post? Saying this>this>this>etc is rather vague. I'd like at least approximate numbers.

Well, I said this:

Pow: 100
Def: 30
Evade: 10
Luck: 20
Mind: 0

It's a pretty good plan, IMO

Go for it dood! I personally max out on Pow mats, but that's not really the smartest plan... :p

you may as well do 212 power/38 luck in that case.

or maybe 205 power/45 luck if you're going for BOVN

or however many luck mats it will take to max your LCK with whatever units you're using, and then pow the rest of the way.

it's not exactly graceful and it's probably a huge waste of pow mats but that's a lot more ATP than you'd normally have and as long as you don't care about any things that aren't named ATP, ATA, or LCK then it doesn't really matter

Here's a plan I just made. This doesn't take into account your units, so you should factor in any unit increases first, adjust, then consume the proper number of materials, unless you plan on having all four unit slots open all the time.

Power Materials: 102, ATP maxed (1397 base)
Defense Materials: 68, DFP 1 point from max (578 base)
Mind Materials: Neglected (604 base)
Evade Materials: 35, EVP 4 points from max (752 base)
Luck Materials: 45, LCK maxed (100 base)

Included what the stats would be at LV200, to see if that's how you see your characters final stats ending up.

I play on Gamecube and plan my HUmar to look like this:

Mats:
HP: 125 (+250)
Pow: 72 (+144)
Def: 66 (+132)
Mind: 50 (+100)
Evade: 27 (+54)
Luck: 35 (+70)

Mag (Rati)
PB: Estlla, Pilla, Mylla & Youlla
Def: 5 (+5)
Pow: 145 (+290)
Dex: 48 (+24)
Mind: 2 (+4)

Units:
God/Ability
Angel/Mind- (or better)

All stats are Maxed and with a rare mag.
