Converting Demo Save to an EU save?

As the title requests, is there a way to use the save file I created whilst playing the demo in the EU version of phantasy star portable 2? I put quite a few hours in and I would be annoyed if I couldn't use my characters.

The guy on this topic (Link (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/969683-phantasy-star-portable-2/56359450)) tested it, and he said it is possible.

Just open the save normally on the full game.
