I could agree that PSP2 could be the "best" PS game ever but I don't think that PSzero is a disappointment since alot of stuff such as the droprate mechanism,shield mechanism,boosted monsters,combo chaining came from PSZ.

Plus, I think PSZ did well considering the hardware limitations and the Nintendo Friend-code limitations. There were other nice things PSZ sort of gave to PSP2. Including the presence of actual level-hazard traps/bombs which can actually be used to detonate on foes nearby. Nothing like using your own environment against your enemy.

PSZ also had the PSO-like quality for realtime musical changes between just being in a level, and being in combat within that level.
